At world-renowned Battaglia Farms, in Scottsdale, Arizona, the key is quality: top quality horses both in the show ring and the breeding operation, and second-to-none instruction and support for amateur riders in a variety of disciplines. The farm, which was founded on Bob Battaglia’s principles of integrity and excellent horsemanship, has been at the forefront of the Arabian horse industry for more than 40 years: the roster of champion horses and riders that have called Battaglia Farms home is legendary.
A full-service operation, Battaglia is involved in all major phases of the Arabian horse breed. Its training barn features many of the top show horses in competition today, focusing principally on the English division—riding and driving—but also including hunter and halter. Horses also are accepted for evaluation, sales, and conditioning programs.
Complementing the equine side of the equation, instruction for both adult and junior amateurs is an important part of the farm, as well as show ring support for those interested in competitive events from class A shows to the national championships.
An elite breeding operation is also available, headed by Russell Vento, as the farm stands four to six top-caliber Arabian and American Saddlebred stallions for the production of Arabians and Half-Arabians.
